Meet Meredith

I'm a visual creative with an impeccable memory, a marketing professional with a teaching degree, a social media guru with a keen sense of observation, and a people person with an introvert's soul. I love to travel just as much as I love being home. For as long as I can remember, and in many different forms, I've been making things pretty.

The Preppy Gypsy Story

I originally launched Preppy Gypsy during a summer break while working as an elementary school teacher. Browsing estate sales and flea markets served as a creative outlet, and I was frequently asked by friends to help arrange and decorate new apartments and homes. In helping them, I noticed that many people wanted beautiful, unique home items but could not afford boutique prices. I seized the opportunity and began selling things through a blog and social media. This work prompted me to leave the classroom and pursue a career in PR and marketing; Preppy Gypsy continues to be a fun side gig for me.
